The accompanying refried beans and spanish rice was also good. The pork was very tender and tasty in itself, but was exceptional with the tangy verde sauce. By the time our server came over to take our drink order, we were ready to also order our lunch, choosing the chili verde. We were quickly seated and given a menu along with a basket of warm tortilla chips and a dish of house-made salsa - the latter was good, but could have been a bit spicier for our tastes (will ask next time if they have a hotter alternative). Most Popular Japanese food in Columbus, Indiana, United States Sabor is a welcome addition to the State Street corridor. The chips provided with the chips 'n salsa were the best I've had. The place is simple, but spotless and in quite good order. I sure could have enjoyed a Pacifico, but settled for a Coke. My date had an enormous plate of excellent nachos, too much for her to finish, while my Enchiladas Mole, with four white-meat chicken wraps under a generous slathering of Mole sauce, crema, and cheese, accompanied with rice, was a treat. The staff were cordial and attentive during our recent visit. The menu is in Spanish, with just enough gringo to help us monolingual folks to navigate it. Want lengua? Menudo? Posole? You can get it here. They have settled into new digs in the revitalized State Street area, and offer perhaps more 'authentic' Mexican dishes than the typical run of such establishments. This restaurant has been around in various locations, in and around Columbus, for several years. As far as choices for non-vegan eaters, Qdoba offers more options and variety than Chipotle making them an better choice for the general public. Chipotle has a vegan meat substitute that Qdoba does not yet offer, but Qdoba has the delicious vegan tortilla soup. In comparing this restaurant to Chipotle from a vegan perspective, it is pretty much a tie. My daughter got the burrito chicken bowl with assorted toppings and thought it was good also. I thought all of the ingredients tasted great. I also had the taco salad bowl with lettuce, pinto beans, guacamole, corn salsa, fajita veggies, cilantro-lime white rice, and the mild hot sauce. It was spicy but balance with other flavors making it a great experience. It was the best Mexican soup I have ever had. I tried the Tortilla soup which was simply outstanding. I am a vegan and came in search of food that PETA recommended from this chain. The employees were courteous and friendly throughout the visit. The recipe for disaster.My daughter and I visited to Qdoba Mexican Grill for the first time on a busy Saturday night. Over-priced food, horrible service and terrible drinks. I can tell you that I will never be back to this Restaurant again. She finally noticed we were finished and brought the check. I ate as much as I could stand, (which wasn't much) and waited for the non-english peaking server to bring my overpriced ticket so I could pay and get out of there. The chicken and onions barely had any flavor and it was just bland. Of course, when the meal arrived at my table in 4 minutes, it was covered in guacamole. So I ordered it and asked her to hold the guacamole. That is really expensive for a dish without cheese. And at that price, it didn't include any cheese. I then ordered Chicken Fajitas and they were $13.50 for the dinner. She tried to sell me a more expensive Margarita that had better Tequila and I told her no thanks.I'll just drink water. I told her that it tasted like it was made with "dirty mop water" and then I told her she could have it back. So when she came back by the table, I asked her what flavor it was and she said Lime. She brought the drink within 2-3 minutes and I took one drink of it and it was clearly not a regular Margarita. I ordered a Frozen Margarita and the server asked what flavor I wanted, I said "Margarita Flavored".I wanted a regular Margarita, not a Strawberry Flavored one or any other flavor for that matter. The chips and salsa were as expected, not great, just average. We found the restaurant maybe half full with customers and we were seated right away. My daughter and I ate dinner in El Nopal in July, 2013.
